United Hospital wanted to create a foundation to help meet the needs of its patients, employees and community. They decided to host a gala as their primary fundraiser; however, they did not want to host just another gala. Rather, they wanted to create an evening to celebrate their success and realize their future vision.
Their challenge: find a venue and catering company that could create and serve the sophisticated cuisine normally found in upscale restaurants and serve it to th 1,500 people expected to attend the event.
To accomplish this, they needed more than a venue and caterer; they needed a partner committed to aid them in achieving their goals. The people at United chose to partner with the teams from MHC Culinary Group and SPAC. The chefs and staff met with the event planners to create menus and wine pairings that made this event one of the most celebrated in the region.
Due to combined preparation and determination of both the foundation and MHC Culinary Group year after year, the United Hospital Foundation continues to grow and has become one of the region’s most successful events. While at the Saint Paul RiverCentre, the gala has grown to 1,500 guests annually, raising over $1 Million each year to benefit the organization.
