Each year David Byrd challenges our culinary department to create a four course meal consistent with those found at his favorite four star restaurants. His only caveat, “It must be memorable!”
In 2013, the eleventh straight year for the partnership, Chef Daniel Tschida and his team provided what was described by one attendee as, “one of the finest meals I have eaten anywhere.” High praise indeed.
Guests of the event dined on butler passed appetizers, an appetizer of smoked duck with figs on mixed greens, a salad course of roasted pear with bacon and gorgonzola, an entrée of grilled filet on a bed of field mushrooms in sauce bordelaise and completed with a dessert trio entitled “Death by Chocolate”.
The Services to Humanities Gala is among the top attended events in the Twin Cities and annually raises several millions of dollars in service to humanity.
“Your commitment to our gala and desire to create a partnership has led us to develop an event that is truly one-of-a-kind, and extremely successful and memorable! Your staff has done an amazing job of serving our customers, displaying a unique passion for providing superior hospitality!”
