Since 2004, MHC Culinary Group has had the pleasure of partnering with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to cater all aspects of their gala weekend. From the VIP parties at their house on Thursday and Friday to the amazing gala “So the World May Hear” on Saturday evening and the VIP party immediately following, our team is committed to ensuring the entire weekend is a tremendous success.
This year at the house our chefs were asked to create displays that would capture the colors, aromas and tastes of Asia, yet include guests favorites from previous years. While the amazing food displays were beautifully presented, it was the dessert walls that had guests coming back for more (and more, and more!)
At the gala, a star-studded list of who’s who dined on grilled apricot and red onion salad served over a bed of arugula and spinach, sprinkled with goat cheese and a sweet balsamic reduction. The entree` included braised short ribs on a Madeira demi and caprese chicken topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and a lemon cream sause paired with a potato souffle and grilled vegetables. The dessert course included a dark chocolate peanut butter mousse tart. The record setting event raised more than $8 million dollars for the 2013 “So the World May Hear” foundation campaign.
